Educational Reform

Child-centric education

Children have inherent abilities that should be nurtured and encouraged.

Children are not little robots to be programmed and should NOT be subjected to the eviscerating fear of a life-altering exam at the age of 10 years. The common entrance exam is an unfortunate relic of our colonial past that National Green Party intends to do away with.

Our Education system (the one we had handed to us) has not fundamentally changed over the past few hundred years.

Children should have more say in their own education and should be allowed to explore a variety of areas in which they have an interest or an aptitude. They should be respected and encouraged, not condescended to, in preparation for a life of servitude.

"You can't judge a fish by his ability to climb a tree" but for some students this is what school feels like every day.
